Brianne Clarke's motto is simple "if you dream it , make it a reality - if you love, then do it"
As a new and sole owner and operator of Brianne Clarke Photography, she is beginning to live the philosophy of making dreams a reality every day, one step at a time. Brianne has just over 8 years of artistic experience and dedication that she is bringing to her photography and each individual assignment.
"It's not about just the 'click' of a camera, it's about the moments involved and story behind creating the photo," Brianne explains. It's rewarding to be able to create memories for people through photographs.
Brianne's career has just begun, but it has already been a whirlwind adventure that has started off quietly and slowly begun to build into a fast tempo. Before venturing into photography she spent 4 years attending Brock University to complete a Bachelor of Honours in the Visual Arts Program, followed by a minor in Psychology. It was during this time she began to develop her artistic stye; she used painting to create abstract and undefinable images. Brianne also took a few photography classes in between her painting and it was then she found her true passion. It was then she decided to attend the Digital Photography Program at Niagara College in 2012 and has since graduated with honours in 2014. While attending this program she learned the basics and foundations of photography and how to develop her own style. Now she uses her photography combined with her creative license to develop a style that combines elements of abstract, realism, and surrealism. While each style has their own individual concept, within her work they work together to conjure an emotional response.
"My goal is to use my camera like the rabbit hole that is found in Alice In Wonderland, to open an unexplored world."
Portraiture has become Brianne's forte, during her final year in college she has worked hard to hone her skills and has begun to create a style of portraiture that has developed into a series. However, she still enjoys all kinds of photography and plans to continue working in various genres developing and learning new skills and ideas.
Brianne Clarke Photography is all about one person with immense drive and passion, beginning to make a living with her art. It's a business where Brianne works one on one with each client, giving them her sole attention when it comes to consultation, development and photography.
"I believe photography is a means of expression and a way for a person to satisfy their curiosity. Which is how I use my photography; curiosity is human nature. And as a human being my natural instinct is to be curious."
*Coming the fall of 2014 Brianne plans to open her own studio, which will be located in her home in Welland; the Rose City of the Niagara Region. A place she has lived for the past 26 years and loves to call home.
